The Kiribati Housing Corporation (KHC) was established under the Kiribati Housing Ordinance Cap 40A. KHC is a State-owned Enterprise and is mandated under the State-Owned Enterprises Act, 2013 (as amended). KHC operates in the housing sector and this Statement of Intent indicates how KHC has reviewed its operating environment and key challenges and derived the following planning period objectives, activities, performance measures and financial forecasts towards achieving its key objectives
Our Core Business
KHC’s fundamental services revolve around the provision of housing solutions for civil servants. In alignment with our commitment to ensure quality and accessibility, we have established various initiative programs dedicated to preserving and increasing our housing stock. These programs encompass Routine and Preventive Maintenance, which ensure the upkeep and longevity of our existing properties, the Major Maintenance Program focus on full maintenance and renovation, and the New Build Program is dedicated to the construction of new housing units and buildings. In addition to offering housing, we extend support to our clients through home loans, among which the Turnkey Home Loan stands out as a valuable option. These services support our key objectives to catering of civil servants housing needs and facilitating their comfort and safety

Support the Government’s effort to improve the productivity, efficiency of its workforce and the standard of living. Provide comfortable and affordable housing for Government and SOEs employees using innovative solutions and modern technology. Provide loans to the public who can afford to develop or improve their homes, water and sanitation. The underlying objectives for Kiribati Housing Corporation (KHC) for this SOI combines its principal functions prescribed by the Housing Corporation Ordinance Cap40A and the requirements of SOE Act 2013 to operate as a successful business.
